Itinerary


DAY 01 :   Arrival – Explore the city
Upon arrival at Athens we will welcome you with a warm smile and a gift! Afterwards, transfer to the centre and drop off at your hotel . For the remainder of the day, explore the heart of the Athens city, visit Syntagma square and get into the city’s vibe! Enjoy shopping one of the most popular streets of the city in Kolonaki area or Ermou and have a nice quite walk at the beautiful alleys of Plaka (the old district) where you can also find a big number of small shops selling souvenirs and other local artifacts. *Overnight at Athens city.

DAY 02 : Full Day Saronic Cruise (visit 3 islands)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to port for embarkation to the cruise ship. ship sails for the three beautiful islands of the Saronic Gulf. Visit the island of Poros, with the enchanting view and Hydra, whose amphitheatre shape once served as a safe shelter for Saronic Pirates. From the decks, you will be able to admire the very special architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island. The old traditional stone houses and mansions of this place silently stand witness to a long and turbulent history. Our final visit will be Aegina, the largest of the three islands. Enjoy a walk or horse-carriage ride around the town or relax in one of the harbour’s charming waterfront coffee shops. In the evening, return to port and transfer back to hotel for relaxation. *Overnight at Athens city.

- The order in which visit the islands shall be carried out is either Poros – Hydra – Aegina or Aegina – Poros – Hydra which does not change the duration of stay on any of the islands.

DAY 03 : Athens-Delphi Tour - Kalambaka
Breakfast at the hotel. At 08:30, pick up from your hotel and head north to the Greek province.After a 3 hour drive, arrive at Delphi town. In the ancient times, this area was known as “the navel of the world”. Start your tour by passing from Castalia spring, visit the archaeological site - the Temple of Apollo, famous for its oracle and also do not forget the Delphi museum, with its spectacular findings, including the bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos.

After the tour, drive to the beautiful traditional Arachova village for short free time. Here you can enjoy a stroll and explore the small shops selling local items like rugs, wine and cheese. In the afternoon, drive to Kalambaka town for hotel check in & dinner. Upon arrival, drop off at the hotel for some relaxation. *Overnight at Kalambaka.

DAY 04 : Kalambaka – Meteora Tour – Athens

Breakfast and check out. In the morning pick up by coach and head up to Meteora area (approximately 4hrs drive). Every traveler that visits Meteora, experiences a unique sensation, the view of huge sandstone towers and monasteries built on top of them is a site that nobody forgets. Another name for this area is “stone forest”. Meteora is home of many monasteries, some of them being inhabited by monks for more than seven centuries. We will visit 2 Byzantine monasteries which are full of historical and religious precious artifacts. Meteora is included on the UNESCO world heritage monument list.  Afterwards, enjoy some free time and have the chance to take priceless photos. Return to Athens passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas king of Sparta in THERMOPYLAE (short stop for photos). The tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon.*Overnight at Athens city.



DAY 05 : Athens city tour & Fare well
Breakfast & check out. Commence with guided city tour first with the Panoramic drive by the city's major attractions: Pass by the Prime’s Ministers residence, Ex Royal Palace, Zappion (conference and Exhibition Hall). Short stop at the 1st Olympic Games of the modern era (1896) for photo shooting. Continue passing by National Garden, St. Paul’s Church, Schliemann’s House (Nomismatic museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, and National Library. Also have a short stop at  Syntagma Square in front of the Parliament building to enjoy the traditional change of the Evzone Guards (wear traditional Greek outfits) that takes place in front of the “tomb of the Unknown Soldier”. Now it’s time to visiting the Acropolis Archaeological site. This sacred rock is considered to be one of the most important ancient monuments of the world and part of the Unesco World Heritage list and regarded as one of the 7 wonders of the world (Key points: Parthenon, Propylea, Temple of Athena Nike, e.t.c..). Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the ACROPOLIS museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives, artifacts of every day life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.
* Acropolis museum is closed every Monday 
3 Hours before flight transfer to Athens International airport for flight check-in and final departure.
